Rebecca Rutstein’s Solo Exhibition at Bridgette Mayer Gallery showcases the artist’s immersive and awe-inspiring work, and her ability to merge art, science, and technology as a fascinating aspect of her exhibition, “All The Stars In The Sea.” This innovative approach, coupled with a focus on environmental stewardship in the face of climate change, captivates with an array of large and small scale paintings, a sculptural installation, and the intriguing series, “30 Days: Chronicling a Voyage at Sea.”

Rutstein’s profound connection to the natural world is evident in her art, informed by her experiences as an artist-in-residence in various locations, including Iceland, Hawaii, and the Canadian Rockies. Her collaborations with scientists on research vessels worldwide have allowed her to gain unique insights, inspiring a body of work that delves into the hidden processes and places of the natural world.

Rutstein’s work uses the intersection of art and science to raise awareness about ecological issues. Her accolades, including the prestigious Pew Fellowship in the Arts and a Philadelphia Foundation grant, further illustrate the impact of her art on the global art community.

Exhibition-goers will be able to engage with Rutstein during the Artist Talk at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts on September 6th, followed by a Reception and Happy Hour at the Bridgette Mayer Gallery.

Mark “All The Stars In The Sea” as a “do not miss” exhibit for art enthusiasts and environmental advocates. With over 25 solo exhibitions to her credit and a strong presence in public collections across the country, Rutstein’s work continues to captivate audiences on a global scale.

“All The Stars In The Sea,” a solo exhibition of new works by Rebecca Rutstein, will be on view at the Bridgette Mayer Gallery from September 3rd to October 19th.
