“New Mural At Cynwyd Elementary Being Unveiled June 4”

BALA CYNWYD, PA — A new mural is being unveiled at Cynwyd Elementary School in June and the public is invited to attend.
A reception will be held from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. in Tuesday, June 4 at Cynwyd Elementary School's Library Makerspace.
Artist and Cynwyd Alumna Rebecca Rutstein will be on hand to celebrate the completion of the Library Makerspace Mural.
This commissioned mural will be on walls of Cynwyd Elementary School's Library Makerspace.
The mural was inspired by Rutstein's ocean exploration and her collaboration with scientists researching chemical and microbial processes in the deep sea.
During the project, Rutstein shared pictures and information about her deep sea dives and the intersection of art and science with the students.
Roughly 500 Cynwyd students and several staff members contributed to the creation of this mural.
Additional works by Rutstein will be on view and for sale during the reception.
Cynwyd Elementary School is located at 101 W. Levering Mill Road in Bala Cynwyd.
