Bridgette Mayer Gallery will participate in the 2015 Art Southampton Fair, which opens with a VIP private preview benefiting the Parrish Art Museum on Thursday July 9th and runs through July 13th, 2015. Located in the Hamptons, the five- day fair will feature a carefully selected group of 80 international art galleries exhibiting paintings, sculpture, works on paper, photography, video and installation by modern and contemporary artists.
The gallery will feature works from a number of artists in their primary program including Federico Herrero, Rebecca Rutstein, Charles Burwell, Sharon Harpe, Neil Anderson, Eileen Neff, Stuart Netsky, and Ryan McGinness. In addition, works by prominent artists such as Donald Judd, Graeme Todd, Douglas Gordon, Jin Meyerson, Wentworth, and Red Grooms will also be exhibited. We are excited to announce that in addition to the works on display in our booth, we have been invited to present several outdoor sculptures on the fair’s grounds. We will exhibit two large-scale aluminum sculptures by Dina Wind and a site-specific banded pole installation by Paul Oberst.
The Woodmere Art Museum will be unveiling a new Dina Wind sculpture on their grounds this June. In conjunction with this event and the accompanying exhibition at the museum, the gallery will also be presenting a selection of the artist's sculptures in a special presentation in the Vault Project Space entitled "Springs!" from May 3 - June 24, 2016.

On November 13th, the Bridgette Mayer Gallery presented the latest in a series of virtual private artist talks to safely promote connectedness and art appreciation. Mayer was joined by John Wind, President of the Dina Wind Art Foundation and William R. Valerio, PhD, the Patricia Van Burgh Allison Director and CEO of Woodmere Art Museum in an interactive discussion of gallery artist Dina Wind's (1938-2014) early palette knife paintings.
Dina Wind's Untitled (Midnight Cityscape) c. 1970s will be entering the museum's permanent collection. The work is from Dina’s Palette Knife series, created under the tutelage of painter Sam Feinstein and influenced by Hans Hoffman's famous theory of push and pull. Out of view for some fifty years, Bridgette Mayer Gallery reintroduced the paintings to the public with an online exhibition in November, 2020. This show coincided with Woodmere Art Museum's Sam Feinstein, Group 55, and Midcentury Abstraction in Philadelphia.
A sculpture by Gallery Artist Dina Wind (1938-2014) has recently been acquired by The Bower, a new Native Garden and Sculpture Park in Perry County, Pennsylvania. The piece, titled "Homage to Smith," is a 1986 steel sculpture measuring 36 x 25 x 27 inches. It is currently installed along one of the Bower's winding walking paths, beside a short stone wall. Prior to its acquisition by the Bower, "Homage to Smith" was shown in a 1986 exhibition at the Nexus Gallery in Philadelphia, installed outside of the Wind home in Gladwyne, PA, and shown again in 2015 in the exhibition "Dina Wind: Stainless" at Bridgette Mayer Gallery.

Bridgette Mayer Gallery is thrilled to announce that in its twenty-first year as a leader in the Philadelphia arts community, it will re-open its doors to the public on June 1, 2021. The gallery will be returning to its home on the 1st floor of 709 Walnut Street in Washington Square, where it existed as a public gallery from 2001 to 2016, before moving to the penthouse level of the building and becoming a private, appointment-only space. Founder and Owner Bridgette Mayer has made the exciting decision to re-open the gallery as a way to foster art and joy in Philadelphia in response to the difficulties facing the city due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Bower: Native Garden and Sculpture Park, the Dina Wind Art Foundation, and the Bridgette Mayer Gallery are pleased to announce Dina Wind: Urban Garden, a solo exhibition featuring 12 of Dina Wind’s outdoor sculptures from the 1980s and 1990s.
The exhibition will be on view from Wednesday, May 4 to Saturday, October 15, 2022, forming an állee of sculptures near the visitor center at The Bower.
On June 11, 2022, Sculpture Magazine and the International Sculpture Center partnered with the Louise Nevelson Foundation and the Dina Wind Art Foundation to present In Conversation: Louise Nevelson & Dina Wind, Abstraction & Assemblage.
The talk was moderated by Philadelphia Museum of Art's Contemporary Curator Erica Battle, and featured a dialogue between Nevelson's granddaughter Maria Nevelson and Wind’s son John Wind, each also the president of their respective foundations.
In honor of abstract sculptor Dina Wind's birthday, the Dina Wind Art Foundation presents "The Art of Dina Wind." The new short film created by artist Anne Leith pairs archival footage with Wind's original narration.
