Painting and Virtual Reality works by Arden Bendler Browning featured in Construction Time Again at Hicks Art Center Gallery, Bucks County Community College
January 9, 2024 – Newtown, PA. Gallery Artist Arden Bendler Browning will be featured in the upcoming exhibition, Construction Time Again, at Bucks County Community College’s Hicks Art Center Gallery in Newtown, PA. Construction Time Again is a group show of objects, paintings, photographs, sculptures, and videos that reveal, question, or demonstrate resource evolution and sustainability in architecture and in the environment. The exhibition features work by ten artists and organizations: Arden Bendler Browning, Bucks County Historical Society, Diane Burko, Jean-Francois Delorme, Frederick Fisher and Partners, Nicolo Gentile, Gwen Kerber, Soo Kim, Kristen Neville Taylor, and Deborah Riccardi.
Construction Time Again will feature Bendler Browning’s multi-media painting, New Year’s hike with friends at Heinz (from video of swampy trash), with video slideshow from quarantine city nature walks, along with her virtual reality piece, Elastic Geography.EXT, which was inspired by her mural of the same name at Yards Brewery in Philadelphia. This will be the exhibition debut of Elastic Geography.EXT and an exciting opportunity to view Bendler Browning’s physical and digital work alongside one another.
The exhibition will be on view from Wednesday, January 17 to Monday, March 8, with an opening reception on January 17 from 4:30 – 7:00 PM in Hicks Art Center. Gallery hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM and Saturday, 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM. This exhibition is hosted by the Arts & Communication Department of Bucks County Community College.
