Tim McFarlane Included in INTERFACE: International Art and Technology Exhibition at the J. Erik Jonsson Public Library in Dallas.
June 29, 2022 – Philadelphia, PA. The Bridgette Mayer Gallery is pleased to announce that work by Gallery Artist Tim McFarlane is included in the group exhibition INTERFACE: International Art and Technology Exhibition. Curated by Emeka Ikebude, INTERFACE brings together the works of artists whose work is made with digital means or influenced by technology. Works by McFarlane featured in the exhibition include Mr. Johnson’s Oil & Tire Change (Closed) and Digital drawing 5. Ikebude states:
Today, more artists are using expressive media technologies to create art than at any time in history. This art and technology exhibition serves as a case study for examining the general impact of interface platforms on contemporary visual art and curating, particularly in producing new and distinct aesthetics, complicating the interpretive inscriptions of art forms, and impacting art conventions, and modes of social and artistic behavior.
The exhibition is on view in the Lillian Bradshaw Gallery, 4th floor, at the J. Erik Jonsson Public Library in Dallas, TX. The exhibition will be on view until August 7, 2022. There is a digital catalog available for the exhibition.
